My favorite part about training with Travis was that he helped develop a routine to fit my schedule and needs. Fitness goals are different for everyone, so having him listen and adapt a program to those wishes were imperative. As with most adults trying to juggle work and home life, I needed something that was efficient, but also effective. Travis does a good job of understanding that balance and applying it to each of his clients.
Travis practices what he preaches. I would always see him doing different exercises, sometimes weeks before he would incorporate them into my own workout. That is how I know he truly believes in them. Knowing every aspect of your work is critical to success and I know Travis would not ask you to do something unless he knew the outcome/benefit.
Travis is a great person and truly takes a rooting interest in helping people succeed. His positive attitude and support are empowering, which really help to nurture the consistency required. This certainly isn’t an overnight journey, so staying with a long-term program can feel challenging. Having his positive encouragement certainly makes the ride more enjoyable!
My biggest fear was continuing the cycle of working out/eating healthy then doing nothing every couple of months for the rest of my life. I feared not being able to make the changes consistently that I always wanted to make. It was true, but since starting with Travis in March, I’ve definitely started to overcome that vicious cycle!!
I particularly enjoy Travis’s style of training in that we take it step by step, moving forward whenever I am ready. Previously, I would try to start doing a million things at once and never accomplish any. Now, with each step, it becomes part of a lifestyle change!
Travis is the best!! Not only is he incredibly educated in everything mind, body, and nutrition related, but he also has a contagious positive attitude. I never feel shamed if unable to complete a workout or eat healthy 24/7; rather, Travis encourages and cheers on the little victories along the way. I’ve learned to be compassionate to myself which has been fantastic for my progress, as shaming and disappointment caused my previous downfalls. I thought Travis was just going to help me workout, but what I’ve gained from this experience is so much more than I imagined!
Just want to emphasize how great Travis is!! I finally feel happier and more optimistic about the track my life is taking. He really has helped me change my life, and I’m ecstatic to see where it will take me!
Having chronic pain and mobility issues for most of my adult life, and having seen many doctors and physical therapists without getting lasting relief, I was skeptical that I’d get different results with a personal trainer. I’d heard horror stories of how people were further injured working with trainers who didn’t know their stuff.
That’s when I met Travis and realized early on, he was going to be able to help. First, he got to know me by asking about my health, activities, lifestyle, and goals. I noticed immediately, he was and continues to be completely engaged during our sessions as he makes observations of my movements, and asks for my feedback before, during and after each exercise. At the start of every session he asks, how I’m feeling and then he fine tunes the workout to address any issues I have. Sometimes he sees something that I don’t and brings it to my attention. He explains everything in a way that I can understand what’s going on and why something works and how to maximize my success. We don’t get bogged down by what doesn’t work. He already has in mind other methods to attempt until a solution is found. He has an uncanny wealth of information to make adjustments in real time. What I find most helpful is that he never sets limitations on what I can achieve and helps me to do the same. In the beginning I was afraid to try new exercises because I feared hurting myself. Now I’m so much more confident because I know Travis will never put me in a potentially harmful situation and won’t have me attempt an exercise before I’m physically ready. I trust him 100%. He’s not only helped me with confidence and pain management but he’s helped me make lifestyle changes that have improved my health and quality of life.
He’s come to know me quite well and knows what strategies will work with my quirky personality and what strategies definitely won’t. He’s incredibly patient and I have a great time and look forward to our sessions. However, when all is said and done, it’s the positive results that really matter and keep me motivated to continue working with Travis.
Travis has had a tremendously positive impact on my life. I’m stronger, healthier, more confident, and happier than I’ve been in very long time. I can’t thank him enough.
Prior to meeting Travis I was never able to maintain or much less succeed with fitness objectives. I lacked a plan, had no end goals, and no one to mentor me. Without any traction, it became boring and therefore short-lived.
Travis is incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and how to work around injuries. His programming keeps me in the game and allows me to continually build towards my goals. His cardio programs kill yet they are my favorite!! His constant support and affirmations, mixed with humor, are integral to my commitment to becoming stronger.
Travis is by far the BEST PERSONAL TRAINER EVER! I began working with him over two years ago and have since lost 60 lbs. He tailors my programs based on my goals and physical limitations. The more I accomplish, the more he challenges me. If at times, I was not up to it we did an easier session or workarounds. Travis is there to get you where you want to be. He is always professional, highly accredited, great fun to work with and an all-around impressive guy.
My gosh, where do I start in sharing the incredible experience of having Travis as my personal trainer? I guess with the most important things: Travis is a gifted teacher, great communicator and listener, completely non-judgmental, with a wonderful sense of humor and a great big heart.
What began as a teacher student relationship has blossomed into a treasured friendship. It’s easy to understand why: Travis is smart and incredibly knowledgeable and patient when it comes to all things concerning personal training. But beyond that he’s just a great guy, highest integrity and values, fun to hang with.
I moved away from the area and so can no longer have Travis as my personal trainer. But I’ll always have him as a lifelong friend,
Do yourself a favor and have Travis be your personal trainer. You will never regret it!
I wanted to lose weight, get toned/fit, and get healthy. Working with Travis, I absolutely met my goals.

My original concern was that I would be stuck with a trainer that I didn’t click with and training sessions that I didn’t want to use. This was not the case and I have always enjoyed our training sessions and have continued to train with Travis for many years since then.
He is very knowledgeable and it’s important to Travis to stay up to date on safe and effective forms of exercise. I know that Travis has studied everything from body mechanics to nutrition and it allows me to feel that I am being trained correctly, safely, and effectively.
Travis is a wonderful trainer who is above and beyond competent in his field and an easy person to have a conversation with as well.
I was working out regularly only to achieve limited gains in strength and added muscle. I was finding it difficult to get the results I expected. I was trying to follow suggested work outs from friends or online sources and videos, but I doubted myself because I didn’t know my body and I didn’t properly understand how to perform the exercises. I attempted exercises my body wasn’t ready for and strained my shoulder.
His knowledge of fitness, diet, and anatomy is truly impressive, yet he has the ability to communicate it all in a way that is easy to understand.
Travis has far exceeded any expectation I ever had of a “Personal Trainer”. He identified physical issues that have prevented me from achieving my goals and coached me through a program to correct them. I increased my range of motion and mobility so that I could perform expert level exercises. He taught me many things I never knew about my body. It’s serious achievement but he makes it fun.
I was dealing with spinal and hip injuries and what drove me to hire Travis was his immense knowledge on health and fitness and his experience dealing with clients with physical limitations. Because of my injuries, Travis had to modify some of my training regimen which turns out to be very effective and challenging. With Travis’s guidance, I regained my mobility and most of my strength back.
My favorite part of my training was the chance to pick his brains about my physical limitations and how to modify my exercise and overcome it.
Travis got lots of exercise that will meet your expectations, this guy knows what he’s doing!
My biggest fear is unrelated to workouts. My workout related fear was getting stuck in a contract with a trainer that I was not getting results from. It definitely was put to rest once I started training with Travis. He listened to my goals and created an attainable action plan to reach those goals. I have since reached those goals, surpassed them, and set more aggressive goals than when I started my training. I am now stronger and more confident with my mind, body, and posture (for me it was a big deal to have better posture).
You’re humor and ability to adapt my workouts depending on how I am feeling that day- Stronger or weaker.
I would highly recommend working with Travis for personal training and fitness. I have been training with him for almost a year now and it has been great! He has dramatically transformed my body and posture. I used to have a weak back and terrible posture from an old injury. I was concerned that weight training would damage it further, so I always stayed away from it, getting nowhere with my workouts. When I started my sessions with him, we focused on certain techniques to prevent injury and overtime have since increased my workout intensity considerably. I now stand up straight and not only reduced my lower back pain, but increased my strength and stability too. I’ve reached all my initial goals (and then some!) with his program and I appreciate his professionalism, humor, and consistency when it comes to my training.
